About Us
Through the eyes of our nation’s media and by our own personal experiences we know this world is full of perils, war, struggles, and evil people. In our lifetime, we are sure to face obstacles, experience grief and tragedy, and become victims of this cruel, temporary place. Jesus said, “The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it, that its deeds are evil” (John 7:7). While we can expect to face obstacles in our lifetime, we can find comfort in one of the greatest gifts our Heavenly Father has given us- Christ’s church. We can find many comforting passages concerning our Lord’s desire for the New Testament Church in His holy inspired Word.
“For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many.” (I Corinthians 12:12-14)
Jesus, speaking of His followers, said, “They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” John 17:16)
Jesus said, “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35)
“Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing” said the Apostle Paul. (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
Luke tells us in Acts 2:44-47 the following about the New Testament Church.
They prayed together.
They studied the Scriptures together.
They ate together.
They gave their offerings together.
They spread the Gospel together.
They worshipped God together.
